Position: Physiotherapist

Department: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Status: Casual (shifts as required)

Hours: Monday to Friday – 0830 – 1630 (occasional Saturday 830 – 1230) *Hours are subject to change based on operational needs.

Site: Oakville

Responsibilities:

Responsible to assess, plan and implement care for a wide variety of cases in a 39-bed, 24/7, general in-patient rehabilitation unit with an interdisciplinary team focus treating neurological, surgical, medical and geriatric patients. The team consists of RNs, RPNs, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Social Workers, Discharge Planners, and Recreation Therapist. Educational needs are supported by a Professional Practice Clinician.

Qualifications:

Halton Healthcare Services is seeking individuals who are competent in their chosen profession; patient/customer focused; team players; effective communicators; caring and respectful and are fiscally responsible.

• Current registration with the College of Physiotherapy of Ontario
• Member of CPA/OPA preferred
• Minimum of one year experience working in an in-patient hospital setting
• Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to interact effectively with a multi Disciplinary team
• Must be flexible and show an ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with all team members
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position
• Satisfactory attendance and employment record
