Canada promises faster immigration<\/h1>\n

Express Entry to be launched in January 2015<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Canadian government has announced that Canada\u2019s active recruitment model for economic immigration will officially be called \u201cExpress Entry<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

The program is to launch in January 2015 and will make the immigration to Canada system much more efficient and faster. Canadian employers in many sectors across Canada, continue to grapple with skill shortages on the one hand and a long unwieldy process of foreign recruitment on the other.<\/p>\n

The Express Entry program promises to make it easier for Canadian employers who are unable to recruit within Canada, to hire foreign workers. The proposal is to allow Express Entry candidates (with a valid job offer) to quickly apply for the Canadian permanent residence. The current Temporary Foreign worker program is only used to fill temporary labour and skill shortages. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) is hoping that the Express Entry program will enable the Government of Canada to select the\u00a0 candidates who are most likely to succeed in Canada. The new structure is a better option to the current first in line to submit system.<\/p>\n

The projected time lines are six months or less, in the four key economic streams –<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program<\/li>\n
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program<\/li>\n
  3. Canadian Experience class, and<\/li>\n
  4. a portion of the PNP.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
