Canadian Express Entry

Canadian Express Entry

Canadian Express Entry update by Canadian Visa Services.

Effective January 1st 2015, Canada’s immigration process will be shifting to a new system.   The following will give you an understanding of the new Canadian immigration process.

Applicants who meet the requirements of the Federal Skilled worker program will submit their profile to the Canadian Express Entry system. All applications that are received will be vetted by the system to ensure they do meet the FSWP/ FSTC and/ CEC parameters.

All applications in this pool will be assigned points (based on a standard marking grid).   The system will then rank all applications based on their score.

From this pool, Citizenship and Immigration Canada will periodically select a fixed number of applicants, who will now be issued an Invitation To Apply.   The new system also will enable Canadian employers to connect with applicants, and to make an offer of employment to candidates they find to be a good fit.

The selected applicants will submit their completed application to the Visa processing office within 60 days of receiving the invitation. The Canadian permanent visa processing is anticipated to take 6 months.
